I made the dumb mistake of booking a ticket to DCA for the morning of the inauguration for a work trip that I needed to take. After hearing that there were going to be a million people at the inauguration and that many of the bridges in town would be closed, I was able to convince work to let me come a week later.
So I ended up watching the inauguration from my basement. While I do not agree with many of the policies that are and will be put out there by the new president, I do understand that this is quite a historic day for this nation.
